Last sunday we went to Clayton's Fishery for a match and a chance to practice for this sunday pairs match, I've drawn George McKay as my partner and I'm fishing on the front pond (pole only) and he's on the big lake (feeder only).
My plan for this match was to fish groundbait long for bream and a top kit for silvers on maggots.
At the start I've cupped some #SonuBaits Banoffe groundbait in with some dead maggots and micros in the mix and left that line for 40mins and got me head down catching small perch and roach on maggots short.
I've had a look on the long line and had odd fish and a bream, but never really got going, I've chopped worms up to see if that would kick the peg on but never really worked.
I've plodded away I didn't do to bad ended up with some bream and silvers which was enough for 3rd on the lake.
